Amit & Tohar — Sunset Proposal at Aposelemis Beach

When Amit first contacted us, his goal was clear. He wanted to surprise Tohar with a private marriage proposal somewhere peaceful, away from crowded tourist beaches, where they could enjoy one of the most important moments of their lives without distractions.

After discussing several locations, we recommended Aposelemis Beach on the north coast of Crete. In our experience, it offers one of the best balances between accessibility, privacy and beautiful sunset light. Its long sandy shoreline creates a relaxed atmosphere, allowing couples to enjoy the experience naturally while still being within easy reach of the nearby resorts.

Together, we planned every detail of the evening. While Maria prepared a romantic picnic by the sea with lanterns, wine and a selection of finger food, we agreed on a simple surprise strategy that would keep the proposal completely natural. Instead of waiting with cameras already in hand, we blended into the surroundings until the right moment arrived, allowing the proposal to unfold exactly as Amit had imagined.

As the sun slowly approached the horizon, the atmosphere became even quieter. With only a handful of people scattered along the beach, Amit led Tohar towards the picnic, stopped just a few steps from the shoreline and asked the question that would begin a new chapter in their lives.

The proposal was intimate, emotional and beautifully simple — a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful experiences don’t need elaborate plans, only the right place, thoughtful preparation and a moment shared between two people.
